Agusta A109 Helicopter Accident at Oaxaca City Airport

On January 14, an Agusta A109 helicopter (XC-HUX), which had recently been in use as an ambulance by the Government of the State of Oaxaca, suffered an accident at the Oaxaca City airport. The incident occurred during landing maneuvers, approximately one and a half meters from the 01 runway.

The State Government reported that the Agusta A109-E helicopter was performing a verification flight for obtaining capacity by the Federal Civil Aviation Agency. This training task was being conducted in the vicinity of the Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán Airport.

During the landing maneuvers, the helicopter experienced difficulties, leading to the accident. Fortunately, the crew members on board sustained only minor injuries.
